Trabrownhill Therapy website design

Trabrownhill Therapy website design

Trabrownhill Therapy, Lauder
Website visitors are fickle and very quick to decide if they’ve chosen the right website. So if you’re still reading this, the general rule is that a web page should explain the purpose of a business and provide the visitor with the information they want within 3 clicks of the mouse, or within just 3 seconds. With such stringent requirements, it is essential to paint a picture of the core service offered. Why paint a picture? Because people read the meaning of a picture (or photo) faster than plain text. Achieving the correct feel for a business site can be achieved with clever use of colour, style and page layout, but sometimes a photo says it all. After the creation of the Trabrownhill Therapy logo, it was critical that the new site design instantly portray the relief offered by the range of services provided. Thanks to the myriad of excellent stock photography sites now available, it didn’t take too long to track the right photo down, and it instantly made an impact on the look and feel of the Trabrownhill Therapy website; blue sky, warmth, positive, happy and stress free.

Danny Frank website design

Dany Frank website design

Danny Frank, Glasgow
Every now and then a website brief will come along that allows for a highly creative and stylised website design. The new Danny Frank music website was inspired by Danny’s country and western music and his love of westerns. Following on from the design of his logo, Scottish Borders Website Design created the site to look like an aged poster pinned to an old wooden wall; a look that instantly connects the site design to the music it promotes. Danny didn’t want to feature in the main banner photo, so a stock photo was selected to complete the scene and various Photoshop techniques were used to distress and age the photo and web page. Danny’s feedback: “I think you’ve done an excellent job (work of art!) it is just what I wanted and I am very pleased with all aspects of your design.”

Tallantyre Interior Design, Morpeth
Having an established shop in the north east of England, the Tallantyre logo was already well recognised. An evolution of the logo was required for the forthcoming website however, and this new logo blends the original Tallantyre style with a new, crisp, classical feel to help promote the online interior design store that Scottish Borders Website Design is developing.

Employment mediation involves a third party trying to help two other parties resolve a dispute. This logo design needed to be professional and trustworthy, but also visually represent how mediation works. Scottish Borders Website Design therefore developed an icon that added colour and individual identity, but most importantly, three interlocking shapes that are all connected, balanced and equal, which represent the three parties involved in the mediation process.

Danny Frank logo design

Danny Frank, Glasgow
As a singer song writer of country and western music based in Glasgow, the tone and texture of Danny’s new logo had to be perfect. The font style and distressing really paint the picture; a dated western style font with a rough and dirty finish reminiscent of printing styles from antiquity. To add originality and enhance the identity, an additional curved underline was added to tie the two words together and add balance.

The new Borders Wedding Car Hire website launched earlier today. The amazing Bentley Arnage is the star of the show, and Scottish Borders Website Design based the colour scheme of the site on the interior and exterior car colours. The font selection ties in with the wedding theme, and as the photos of the car say everything, the site makes use of Flash to allow interested parties to browse through photos and get in touch to make a booking.
