Findlay Ecology Services website design
Findlay Ecology Services, Kelso
Following on from the design of the logo, the approach to the new Findlay Ecology Services website design needed to take in two very different elements of ecology work; liaising with construction companies on the one hand, and monitoring flora and fauna on the other. By using carefully selected and well positioned stock photography the design ensures that any visitor to the site instantly understands the nature of the business. The clean fresh site also showcases unique photos and videos taken in the field (search engines love original content) and also allows for the secure purchase of a camera trap sold by Findlay Ecology Services. The response from the client after the site launch: “I cant stop looking at the website!”
Walking on cloud
I had a meeting over in Peebles the other day and went for a walk up Black Meldon afterwards. I envisaged being enshrouded in the cloud for the entire duration of the walk, but just as I neared the summit the sun broke through and I managed to climb above the cloud level. On turning around I was greeted with the beautiful view across the Tweed Valley, much of which was submerged under a lake of white.

Having designed the new logo for TJF Services Scottish Borders Website Design set about creating the new site. As a business based in the Borders the client wanted to make use of stock photography that visually tied the site to the Borders and the services offered. Delightful feedback from the client: “Speachless… Bloody fantastic!!!!!!! I will be looking at it all day with a big smile. Can’t wait to show it off. Many, many thanks.”

Just got the thumbs up from the client with regards the new TJF Services logo design. The brief was quite straight-forward: bold and blue with a little something else! Scottish Borders Website Design added a slight gradient fill to the strong serif font, and a generic icon with flashes of blue reflections to ensure an original look.

Taxonomy Consulting logo design
Taxonomy Consulting, Eyemouth
Scottish Borders Website Design frequently receive a logo design brief which calls for a “smart, professional and trustworthy” logo. A visual icon can often be used to help explain (or draw from) the core service offered by the business and elevate a logo above just being “smart, professional and trustworthy”. In this instance the icon ties in with the interconnectedness, symmetry and ordered nature of taxonomy consulting within business. The clients response: “It’s great and very subtle! I am so impressed that you captured so much of what I do in a 2-dimensional object, brilliant work.”
