Following on from the design of the logo, the approach to the new Findlay Ecology Services website design needed to take in two very different elements of ecology work; liaising with construction companies on the one hand, and monitoring flora and fauna on the other. By using carefully selected and well positioned stock photography the design ensures that any visitor to the site instantly understands the nature of the business. The clean fresh site also showcases unique photos and videos taken in the field (search engines love original content) and also allows for the secure purchase of a camera trap sold by Findlay Ecology Services. Walking on cloud

I had a meeting over in Peebles the other day and went for a walk up Black Meldon afterwards. I envisaged being enshrouded in the cloud for the entire duration of the walk, but just as I neared the summit the sun broke through and I managed to climb above the cloud level. On turning around I was greeted with the beautiful view across the Tweed Valley, much of which was submerged under a lake of white.

Having designed the new logo for TJF Services Scottish Borders Website Design set about creating the new site. As a business based in the Borders the client wanted to make use of stock photography that visually tied the site to the Borders and the services offered. A wintry shot of the Eildens combined with a work related photo did just the job; to finish things of a random testimonial is pinned to the foot of each page to add a personal feel. Fungus and moss

Whilst out walking late the other afternoon I came across this fungus surrounded by a carpet of vivid green moss. Because of the low light and frost, the brown ringed fungus had a peculiar bluish tinge to it; a stark contrast in colour and texture to the background moss.
